Alberta "Funny" Butler Lawler, age 96, departed this life peacefully July 4, 2018 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.She was born December 16, 1921 in Lavergne, Rutherford County, Tennessee.She was the eldest child of Bessie Butler Finch, and sister to Mollie Taylor, who both proceeded her in death. She was educated in Rutherford County public school before moving to Nashville and attended, and graduated from, Pearl High School. Alberta married Walter Lawler in 1946, who also proceeded her in death.She professed her love for the Lord at an early age and loved attending church until her health failed her. She enjoyed traveling, driving, taking photographs, cooking, and visiting with family and friends.She leaves to mourn her passing nieces, Christine Turner, Belva Sloss, Lee Williams, Patricia Moore, nephew Micheal Shannon, devoted cousin Nancy Finney, great nieces Karen Turner, Erica Sloss and nephew Dion Williams. Host nephews nieces relatives and friends.A memorial and committal service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, July 20, 2018 at Nashville National Cemetery.
