ALICE MARGARET KLINGSHIRNAge 78, died peacefully October 12, 2016, at McKendree Health Care Center, under the loving care of Alive Hospice. Preceded in death by parents Clarence and Clara Klingshirn. Survived by brother and sister-in-law Vincent and Rita Klingshirn, three nieces: Joyce Smith, Lisa Klingshirn (Marc Arce), Cheryl (Trevor) Shively; her nephew David (Tammy) Klingshirn; and great nieces and great nephews Patrick Smith; Derek, Garrett, and Everett Klingshirn; and Joseph and Holly Shively; one great-great nephew, Micah West.Alice had attended the University of Toledo as well as John Carroll University in Ohio, and she spent her working life at Vanderbilt Hospital as an x-ray technician. But Alice’s avocation was photography; she visited all 7 continents shooting photos of indigenous peoples and the animals she really delighted in. Alice hoped heaven included pets so she would once again see her beloved dogs Arthur MacArthur, Myles and Miss Annie.Service 11 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2016, at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 85 Fairway Drive, Nashville 37214, The Rev. Vicki Burgess officiating. Interment in St. Philip’s columbarium immediately following.
