Ann Rogers

March 21, 1933 — September 12, 2016

Ann Lea Carroll Rogers, 83, passed Sept. 12, 2016 at a nursing home in Franklin, TN. She was preceded in death by parents Harry Carroll and Maude Carroll of Madison, TN, and her sister Harriet Carroll of Madison and Tullahoma, TN. Ann was born at home in Madison where she spent many happy childhood years. During WWII, her father was a member of the U.S. Army Signal Corps and his transfers took the family to Shreveport, LA, Lexington, KY, Philadelphia, PA and Miami, FL before returning to Madison in 1945. Ann attended schools in those cities as well as Isaac Litton High and East High schools in Nashville. She later studied at Watkins Institute in Nashville and Motlow State College near Tullahoma, TN. Ann began her professional career as a secretary for Harlan Construction Company, then worked as office manager and bookkeeper for her family's business, Graphic Laboratories, Inc., and later as administrative officer and accountant for a large printing firm, Southern Graphic Industries, Inc., all in Nashville. Ann relocated to the Tullahoma area 30 years ago with retired husband, Al Huffman (deceased). Her sister and mother later joined her there. Ann is survived by her husband of nearly 24 years, Charles Rogers, Sr. of Tullahoma, sons Mike Carroll (Bev) of Franklin, Pat Caldwell (Beverly) of Springfield, TN and step-son Chuck Rogers (Mary) of Tullahoma, grandsons Chris Carroll (Kaycee) of Greenbrier, TN, Mike Carroll, Jr. (Chandra) of Hendersonville, TN, Charlie Rogers (Melissa) of Huntsville, AL, 7 great-grandchildren: Abby, Brooke, Caleb, Ebony, Gwen, Jasmine, and MacKenzie, and a cousin, Carmen McNab of Hendersonville. Ann was a faithful Christian and a founding member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church in Tullahoma. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, October 1, 2:00PM, at Springhill Cemetery which is just south of Madison at the intersection of North Briley Parkway (state route 155) and Gallatin Road (US 31E), immediately across the street from the National Cemetery.
