Austyn Griffin

It is with great sadness that we share the unexpected passing on May 8, 2020, of Austyn Thomas Griffin, at age 35. He is the son of Holly Chappell and the late John E Griffin Jr. Austyn passed away in Nashville, Tennessee doing what he loved, personal training.Austyn is survived by his mother Holly Chappell, step-father Lary Rosenberger, brother Dalton Rosenberger, sister Darby Rosenberger, half brother Cameron Griffin, grandfather Ed Griffin, Grandmother Janet Rosenberger, great-aunt Joy, many aunts and uncles, cousins and second cousins, his very special friend Maddie, and his devoted dog Hercules.Austyn graduated high school at Round Rock Christian Academy in 2002, completed a Bachelors in Business Administration at SFA University and Park University, and obtained an MBA from Central Michigan University. He was a Marine for 5 years serving primarily in Okinawa, Japan and San Diego. Upon arrival in Nashville he attained his Personal Training Certificate and enjoyed training others while getting buff himself.Austyn backpacked through Europe and traveled through almost all 50 states with his mom and sister during an RV trip. Austyn was known for his huge heart and his obsession with movies. He was an incredible son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin and will be missed by all.
