Barbara Armstrong

Barbara Faye Armstrong- age 82 passed away August 15, 2016, after a long courageous fight with cancer and Alzheimer's. She was born on January 1, 1934 to Jessica Orma Freeman and William Benjamin Armstrong.She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill, Dewey and Bud Armstrong; sisters, Evelyn Armstrong DeWeese and Dorris Armstrong Murphy, husbands, Evander McIver Patterson III and Raymond Henry Burchardt.She graduated from Goodlettsville High School, and worked for Genesco, Steaks Sophisticated, Dillards, Transcorp and Crye-Leike Realtors.She is survived by sister, Sandra Ferguson (Ray); daughters, Gina Patterson Fann, Vanessa Patterson Woodard ( Bryant), Darcy Patterson Benwell (Chris); grandchildren, Ashley Fann Flack (Joe), Kimberly Fann Moore (Tatum), Lillian Claire Benwell, Elizabeth Louise Benwell, Anna Katherine Benwell, Nicholas McIver Woodard, and Greyson Williams Woodard. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.A private memorial service was held for immediate family. Donations can be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association online at alz.org
