Bertha Taylor

Bertha W. Taylor, age 90, passed away August 1, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore (Ted) Taylor. They were married for 70 years. She is survived by her three children, Gary E, Taylor (Misty), daughter Marcia A. Scott (Bill), and daughter Deborah A. Taylor.She is also survived by six grandchildren, Stephen Taylor (Katherine), Jonathan Taylor(Christine), Nicholas Taylor (Jessica), Dr. Jason Scott (Kimberly), Kimily Jones (Jason) and Justin Scott, great grandchildren, Win Taylor, Waylon Taylor, Olivia Taylor, Huntley Taylor, Landon Everett, Jake Everett, Baby Taylor, Emily Scott, Madeleine Scott, Lilly Scott, Beckett Scott, Mallory Jones, and Adalee Jones.She was preceded in death by her sisters, Fran Volk, Lillian Strickland and brother Frank Waith. Bertha was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and kind friend to everyone she met.She was born in Jamestown, New York. She worked many years for the DupontCorporation. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Episcopal Church. She spent many years working and raising her children while her husband traveled and worked long hours to support the family. Her love for music and playing piano influenced many of her children and grandchildren and stayed with her until her passing.A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 17, 2019, at Hermitage United Methodist Church, 205 Belinda Drive, Hermitage, TN. Visitation with family and friends at 2 PM. Service at 3 PM, officiated by Pastor Chris Siefert. Burial at Nashville National Cemetery, Gallatin Rd, Madison TN.
