Billie Leona Harris Williams, age 91, was born June 5, 1924 in Wichita Falls, TX and passed away on August 26, 2015.She was preceded in death by her son, Earl C. Williams III, and her sister, Mary Frances Harris Prothro.She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Earl C. Williams, Jr. and her daughters, Andrea Perkerson (Preston), Janet Williams (Michael Bauer) and Linda Putney (Steve); three nieces, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and her dog, Wags.She studied art at the University of North Texas. She was a recreational therapist at the Junior League Home for Crippled Children and later at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. After retirement, she cared for many children in her home.A celebration of Billie's life will take place Sunday, August 30, from 2 to 4 PM at 172 Carnavon Parkway, Nashville.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nashville Humane Association or to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.NASHVILLE FUNERAL AND CREMATION 615-256-1605
