Billy Price

Billy Joe Price, 73, a native of Conway, AR, died October 2, 2015 at St. Thomas - West in Nashville. Born September 25, 1934, he was the son of the late Carlton and Gena Clarice Price. He was also preceded in death a son: Perry M. Price; three sisters: Elva Schultz, Aoda Bledsoe and Sallie Sarrett; and a brother: Durward E. Price. Survivors include a son: Norman S. Price; daughter: Marcia June Newman; granddaughters: Tara Sitman, Leslie Price and Marci Price; great-granddaughters: Alyssa Dalton and Laney Sitman; two sisters: Wanda O'Kelley of Conway, AR and Verla Young of Ft. Worth, TX; and eight nieces and nephews. Mr. Price was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, School of Engineering. He was employed with the Arkansas Highway Department until 1964 when he moved to Nashville, TN to accept a position with Foster & Creighton Company – Bridge Department. He served for 20 years as Vice President. Later he was employed by Valco of North Little Rock, AR, Jones Bros of Mt. Juliet, TN and McKinnon Bridge Co of Franklin, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Tau Beta Pi, American Legion Post #5, and served in the United States Army. Mr. Price will be laid to rest with graveside services on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
