Biscoe Hagewood

Biscoe Blackburn Hagewood, age 85 of Cross Plains, TN passed away March 26, 2016.Biscoe was preceded in death by his parents, E.F. and Ruth Bell Hagewood and his brothers Frank, Doug, John, and Randall, and his son Keith B. Hagewood. He is survived by his wife of nearly 66 years, Caroline Thoni Hagewood, his son, Thomas Lynn (Kay) Hagewood, grandchildren Nicholas and Emily Hagewood, many nieces and nephews.Biscoe was a 1949 graduate of Nashville's Central High School. He followed in the steps of his namesake and uncle, Biscoe Blackburn Griffith, as a real estate appraiser. He retired from the State of Tennessee as Chief Appraiser with the State Assessed Properties. Biscoe was a member of Granny White Church of Christ. He will be laid to rest in the Cross Plains, TN cemetery not far from his beloved farm.Visitation with family and friends will be held Wednesday, March 30 from 10:30 to 12:30 at the Main Street Church of Christ in Springfield, TN. Burial will follow.
