Carol Dunnican Miller (Olive), most recently from Nashville TN, passed from this world to the arms of her heavenly father on Sunday August 14 th , 2016 at home, after a long battle with COPD.She is survived by her Husband, Elmer Anthony Miller and her three children, Ellen Carol Soehngen (Wayne), Victoria Suzanne Jenkins (Charles), and Christopher Alan Miller (Andrea.) She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Jennifer Anne Soehngen, Stephen Wayne Soehngen, Kristijan William Soehngen, Eric Alan Jenkins, Devin Alexander Miller and Ethan Alistair Miller.She was born in Elmhurst, Illinois in 1935 to Olive G (Bayly) and William Jacob Dunnican. Carol (then known as Olive) returned with her family to Union NJ in 1942. The family was formerly from Elizabeth NJ prior to her birth. She graduated from Union High School in 1953. While in High School she was involved in Art club and Yearbook. She was known as a generous and open person. She later attended the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising in New York and worked in retail fashion. After the birth of her first child she was a devoted stay at home mother and wife. Her three children were the joy of her life. When her children were older, she worked as a Home Health Aide and graduated from nursing school (Hunterdon County) with her LPN. She later worked as a phlebotomist. She was an accomplished artist who won several awards for her many oil paintings and she also enjoyed writing poetry. She loved animals and always had her beloved Siamese cats.She lived in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and then Bridgewater, Branchburg and Frenchtown NJ before moving to Old Bridge NJ in 1984. After her husband's retirement they moved to Belvedere, NJ and then in 2014 they moved to Maybelle Carter Senior Living Community in Nashville Tennessee so they could enjoy her youngest grandchildren.
