CATHERINE JOYCE WALTERS

November 26, 1942 – May 18, 2023

Catherine Joyce Walters passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Franklin, TN on May 18, 2023 after a short illness.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sherri Walters and Melanie Fredrickson; grandsons, Luke Fredrickson and Eric Fredrickson; her sister, Linda Taylor and nephew, Kirk Taylor. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Hazel King and niece, Kim Taylor Kennedy.

Joyce loved to read and passed that passion on to her children and grandchildren.  She also enjoyed cooking and could spend hours scanning through cookbooks.  Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Her faithfulness and strong prayer life sustained her throughout her life’s journey.

Her family will gather at a later date for a small private celebration of her life.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Charles Stanley’s InTouch ministry or Aveanna Hospice in Franklin, TN.
