Cathy LaVonne Furr, age 57 of Bethpage, passed away Friday, July 28 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
A native of North Carolina, she was the daughter of Henry Thomas Evans and Patsy L. Ledbetter. At one time Cathy shampooed hair in the beauty shop and loved the ladies she served.
Her life was an example of service. She was blessed to consider two churches her "home" and enjoyed worship at the Church of the Nazarene in Kingston Springs and Free Indeed Fellowship in Gallatin.
Cathy adored her grandchildren and had a special love for music and singing. Through it all, though, she had to look good. She insisted on having her hair and makeup done, especially being sure her lipstick was just right.
Her gift of service to others will be missed by her friends and family.
Cathy is survived by her husband: Jeff; two daughters: Chrissy (Shawn) Mann and Catrina (Shawn) Lietzau; a sister: Glenda Roberson; two brothers: Dale Evans and J. J. (Theresia) Dowlen; and six precious grandchildren: Logan McVoy, Dustin Malone, Briley Mann, McKenzy Mann, Christian Fuqua and Maci Lietzau.
