Charles Eugene Brackett, 1932 - 2022, passed away on May 23rd following a courageous battle against Parkinson's Disease. He was born in Baltimore MD, attended schools in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. He graduated from Florida State University where he went on to obtain a Doctorate in Political Science. After enjoying many years as a college professor he relocated to New York City and served as Senior Director of Training at New York City Transit until retirement in 1999.
He is survived by his wife Penelope Brackett, his stepson Alexander Rohls and his wife Jessica, a granddaughter Roxane, a niece Heather Brackett, and two grandnieces Delanie and Peyton. Gene was both respected and dearly loved by all who knew him. He was a gifted teacher who loved imparting knowledge to his students. He also had a wonderful sense of humor.
