Christopher (Chris) Michael Sexton, 38, passed away on June 28, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee. Chris was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on December 18, 1978 to Michael and Victoria Sexton. He leaves behind his parents, Michael and Victoria Sexton of Chattanooga, TN; the love of his life, his fiancé, Heather Beshore of Nashville, TN; his brother Matthew (Marina) Sexton of Houston, TX; and his sister Kelly Sexton of Cincinnati, OH.Chris resided and worked in Nashville since 2009 and previously worked in Chattanooga, TN. He had a passion for politics and incorporated it into his political science education and his career as a Government Affairs Director overseeing state legislation. Additionally, he worked on various local, state, and national campaigns and was active in the Bush/Cheney campaign.Chris was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan who shared this enthusiasm with his Dad, Mike. He cheered them on through thick and thin, even converting Heather into the fold. His other joy was in music and took full advantage of living in "Music City" enjoying numerous live concerts over the years including his favorites; Tom Petty, Chuck Prophet, and Buddy Guy. He had an ear for upcoming talent and correctly let his friends know of some of the newest stars before they became famous.A celebration of Chris's life will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Christ United Methodist Church; 508 Franklin Road in Franklin, TN. Visitation will be from 12-1:30 pm prior to the Memorial Service officiated by family friend, Reverend Ronald Bessert. A reception will follow the service.Chris, his smile, and wit will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Alive Hospice in Nashville through Alivehospice.org.
