It is with profound sadness that the family of Constance (Connie) Brew Kneeland announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the young age of 63.Connie was born to Virginia and Bill Brew of Montclair, CA on Sept 30, 1958. She attended Montclair High School, played clarinet in the marching band and graduated in 1976. Connie also gave birth to her son, Alex, and joined the US Air Force the same year.After completing basic training at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX, Connie then trained as Avionics Instrument Systems Specialist at Chanute AFB, Rantoul, IL. Her first permanent duty station was March AFB, Riverside, CA. There she was assigned to the 22 AMS and maintained KC-135 Refueling Tankers and B52-D model bombers.In 1978, Connie and Alex met Dave Kneeland. It was true love at first sight! Dave accepted an assignment to RAF Mildenhall, England. Upon her honorable discharge from USAF, Connie and Alex joined Dave in England.Connie and Dave were married March 1, 1980 in Newmarket, England. In 1981, their beautiful family returned to the US where they traveled to several different states as Dave completed his 20 year USAF career and retired in 1994.Connie was a free spirit and loved camping outdoors. Their USA adventures included Mt. Rushmore, Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, Carlsbad Canyon, Corn Palace, Yellowstone, St. Louis Arch, Toronto, Pittsburgh (Dave's home town) and many CA beach locations. She loved our beautiful country for which she proudly and voluntarily served.Connie also worked in many roles during her wonderful life with Alex and Dave. She was an expert seamstress at a clothing alteration shop where she then became the trainer and supervisor of many others. Connie was the administrative assistant to numerous companies at once while living in Denver, CO. She became the Assistant to the Director of Operations for Southern CA Sam's Clubs during her last 26 years of work.Connie battled her cancer for several years in CA and was cancer free for 4 years. She and Dave followed their son and his family to TN in 2015 where they purchased a total of 13 beautiful acres in the wooded country. They had 2 homes built and live a short walk apart.Connie's cancer unfortunately returned and again she endured lots of chemo treatments and clinical trials to fight this life draining beast. On August 26th at 10:51 in the morning Connie took her last breath while in our home surrounded by our loving family. She took the hand of Jesus and walked to Home to Heaven.Connie is survived by her husband Dave, son Alex, daughter-in-law Ellie, our grandson Kayden (9), brothers Brian and John Brew and many other extended family and friends across our Beautiful Country.May Connie live on in a peaceful Heaven surrounded by our loving family members who passed before her: Virginia Marie Folkers (mother), William Junior Brew (father), Alan Reed (brother), Margaret Oliver (sister), Ruth Murtle Gibson (mother-in-law), and James Leslie Kneeland (father-in-law).We are all certain that Connie will now visit us daily as a breeze, sunrise, sunset, cardinal or starry night sky.We ALL Love and Miss you dearly.
