Curtis Raymond Boner, aka Curtis King, son of the late Noble (Nubbin) Boner and Morlan Sammons Boner, was born August 1, 1944, in Christopher, Illinois. He died September 30, 2017, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tenn. He spent his childhood in Christopher and over the years lived and worked in Phoenix and Prescott, Arizona, Lansing, Michigan, Rockford, Illinois, Des Moines, Iowa, and lived the later part of his life in Nashville, Tennessee.He was active over the years in the country music profession, first as a radio announcer and program director and later as a songwriter and music producer.He is survived by one son, Curtis Raymond Boner, Jr., of Nashville, Tennessee, and one daughter, Christine Keel, of Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, Barbara Boner Lance of Sesser, Illinois, Clea Dawn Boner Lewis of Fisherville, Kentucky, and Nora Boner Irvine of Taylorsville, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Erika Keel and her fiancee Ally Yohn and Jessica Keel and her husband Mouafa Shoman; one grandson, Sean Keel and his partner Jackie Diaz and their daughter, his great granddaughter, Nara Keel; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Morlan Sammons Boner and a brother, Frederick David Boner. www.CALLNFC.com
