Mrs. Darlene Hart, age 65 of Murfreesboro, passed away January 12, 2016 at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville.Darlene was born September 9, 1950 in Nashville and was the daughter of the late Malcolm Vernon Lackey and Annie Faye Johnson Lackey.In remembering their mother, the first words her children spoke were "She was a Christian woman." Those words are a beautiful testimony to her character and love of her family. She loved her church and read her Bible regularly. She spent her free time showing her compassion to her family and friends. At church, she was known to do anything you asked of her. Her voice often was lifted in praise to her Lord in the church choir. Her influence and Christ-like example will be felt for years to come.Cherishing her memory, Darlene is survived by her three children: David Hart (Christie Scott) of Smyrna, James Hart (Linda Stoops) of Lavergne (Christine Hart of Gretna, LA) and Crystal (Richard) Curtis of Lewisburg; two sisters: Wilma Dean (James) Robson of Gallatin and Sherry Heath of Fairview; two brothers: James Vernon (Jane) Lackey of Nashville and Terry Lamar (Susan) Lackey of Kingston Springs; 6 grandchildren: Ashley Hart, Kayla Hart, Michael Hart, Austin Hart, Christian Curtis and Caleb Curtis; and 4 great-grandchildren: Darnell Patton II, Ashton Luke Hart, Peyton Michelle Bennett and Conner James Bennett.Her family will visit with friends and relatives on Friday, January 15 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Rutherford County Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 18 at 11:00 at the church. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM in Johnson Cemetery in Guntersville, AL beside her husband, J. T.
