Dewey Johnson

Dewey Andrew Johnson of Goodlettsville, TN, passed away December 2, 2021 at Alive Hospice. His wife Geraldine was by his side during his brief illness.

He was born August 31, 1959, to the late Carl and Ethel Johnson of Durham, NC.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, John Dancing Crow Johnson, and Robin Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Geraldine Johnson; children, Joy Senter, Brandon (April) Conner, and Rachel Conner; grandchildren, Eliza Miller, Janette Roberts, Allie and Myles Conner, and Hayden Gibson; and sisters, Tina (Bob) Dineen and Anita (Bill) Pipkin.

He was a simple man who did not need much to make him happy. Hand him a cold beer with a guitar, and he was good to go. Being an avid music lover kept him busy in his spare time. He had lifelong friends who enjoyed his company. He would have them pull up a chair to sing and play along or listen to him tell a story of years past. If he wasn’t playing music, you could find him with his best fur-pal, Bobo.

His life on Earth is over, but his selflessness will live on. Per his wishes, Dewey was an organ donor. His transplant donations will allow others to continue their journey in life.
