Donald Stroud

Mr. Donald Eugene Stroud, Sr, age 76 of Madison, died quietly at home surrounded by his wife, daughters and family members.Donald is survived by his wife of 59 years: Ermagean; daughters: Jamie and Donna, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.He was preceded into Heaven by his son: Donald E. Stroud, Jr.Donald was an honorably-discharged Army veteran. Afterwards, he wet on to become both a Master Carpenter and Master Barber and enjoyed working with his hands in business and at home his entire life. He was intensely interested in riding motorcycles and often relaxed by hunting and fishing with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.He was an amazing grandfather and father figure to many kids, grand kids and great grand kids. He taught all of us many life skills and will forever be with all of us whenever we use the things he taught us. He will be very missed but we are all blessed to know that he’s no longer suffering because he has gone home to Heaven.Memorial services will be celebrated Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 11:30 AM at the Madison Free Will Baptist Church, 300 Scalf Rd, Madison, TN.
