Donna Adele English

“Doodie”

Donna was born on October 25, 1948, in Summit, New Jersey and she gained a

new pair of dancing shoes for her heavenly homecoming on February 15, 2024.

She was met by her parents, Elizabeth (Cobb) English and Thomas Crawford

English as well as her brother, Thomas Gregory English.

Donna graduated from the University of Memphis in 1972 with a degree in

Business and she Managed the Nashville Music Industry for over 35 years.

She started at Tee-Vee Records as an Assistant and then joined the RCA Records

family in Administration Finance and Management. In 1987 and the 24 years to

follow in her career, she worked for Monterey Artist/Paradigm as Office

Manager/Coordinator of Administration and Finance. She worked with some of

the best, to include Ricky Skaggs, Sweethearts of the Rodeo, Bonnie Rait and the

Doobie Brothers.

She is survived by her niece, Elizabeth (English) Leonberger and nephew David

Thomas English (4) great nieces and nephews Trinity & Tristan Maison and Alissa

& Ryan English. She leaves a best friend, cousin and longtime confidant, Cathy

Daniels. Donna leaves her lifetime love Mike “Mikey” Holliday as well as his son

Steven Holliday and wife, Stephanie.

She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an

unending generosity that could be seen in the lives of her friends and family, she

was big hearted, vibrant, and radiated light. She accepted everyone with an open

heart, open arms, and a perpetual smile. She had immense passion for music and

entertaining. Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is

gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply in her

wide network of community.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on March 19th 2024 at The GranDale

Manor located at 200 Nashboro Boulevard, Nashville, TN 37217 from 4:00-6:00

service begins at 5:00 we would be honored if you would join us in

commemorating the life and accomplishments of this amazing lady.
