Doris Swasey

Doris Monteith Swasey, age 81, of Antioch, TN, a loving, devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Wednesday February 17, 2016. Doris is a native of Granite Falls, NC She is recently preceded in death by her daughter Nena Stern She is survived in death by her husband Lawrence A. Swasey Jr. of Antioch, TN; sisters, Dollene Mize and Francis Davidson; son, Joseph Michael Stern; grandchildren, Kari Richardson, Anna Maddox, and Michael Anderson; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Joshua, Lily, Eden, and Archer; stepchildren, Theresa Sandridge, Lorri McLean, Deanna Chappell, and Mark Swasey; and step grandchildren, Leigh-Ann, Angela, Kimberly, Olivia, Avery, and Tallulah. Doris also leaves behind many extended family members and life long friends. Doris was an honest, witty, and outspoken lover of life, who's greatest happiness and love was working outside. Doris was a believer in Jesus Christ and is now peacefully spending eternity with her Lord. A memorial service celebrating Doris' life will be help at Antioch Church of Christ on Thursday February 25, 2016 at 1pm.
