Dr. Rutledge

Dr. Jack Rutledge was taken to be with the Lord at his home on October 19, 2019. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University before attending the University of South Alabama Medical School. He was a dedicated surgeon for over 30 years. Dr. Rutledge was a sinner redeemed by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ.He was preceded in death by his parents: James Warren Rutledge and Elizabeth Rutledge Smith. Dr. Rutledge leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Patty Rutledge, and his four children: Hannah Rutledge Greene (husband, David), William Caleb Rutledge (wife, Katherine), Joshua Rutledge (wife, Anne Meredith), Sarah Johnson (husband, Ben). He also leaves seven grandchildren: Sarah Katherine, Charles, Jack, Henry, Anne, Oakley and Margaux.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26, at 11am at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church. The family will receive visitors in the reception room after the service.
