Graduated Mumford High School 1954.Started his automotive career working at Highland Park Hot Rod Shop and eventually opened The Hot Rod Shop as a part owner. Went on to become an icon in the automotive Hot Rod industry, being involved in marketing, consulting, designing, engineering and selling of numerous aftermarket products. He was a much respected and admired man and his knowledge of the industry set him apart. He became a mentor to many over the years, sharing his passion and knowledge. He was a self taught, self motivated designer who inspired others. He always felt you could accomplish anything as long as you didn't care who got the credit.Even in his discomfort, he maintained a sense of humor, bringing smiles and joy to all he encountered. He made others feel comfortable in finding that one element that made them have a connection. He was quick witted and a story teller.He will be greatly missed and has left a legacy of his accomplishments and an imprint of his great knowledge, humor and compassion.He leaves behind his loving wife Sharon Kaye McCrickard, 3 daughters Pamela, Cheryl and Lori, brother, Robert McCrickard (Jeanette), 5 grand-children, Tanya, Vanessa, Ryan, Lauren and Zachary, 6 great-grandchildren and dear friends.Cremation has taken place.
