Estelle Groth

Estelle Bee Groth of Donelson, TN passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. Born July 27, 1930 in Nashville, TN to the late Mack and Mildred Bee, she graduated from Donelson High School with the class of 1949.She retired from a 30 year career at Castner-Knott as a china and gift buyer at the Harding Mall location. She was a lifelong member of Andrew Price Memorial United Methodist Church and attended the Anna Gay Sunday School class.Estelle's passions included gardening, cats, and travel to the Smoky Mountains and the beach where she enjoyed sitting in the sun. She was always ready to perfect her tan! After retirement she developed a true love for bird watching, solving jigsaw puzzles and crooning to George Jones' country classics. Above all, she enjoyed being a Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother to her family who will miss her lively personality.She is survived by her sons Buford "Buff" (Debbie) Groth and Cliff (Margie) Groth; grandchildren, Julie Durham, Wes (Laurel) Groth, and Marlee Groth; and three great-grandchildren, Natalie Caviness, Joseph Durham, and Emmi Groth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristi Groth.The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 1:30 - 2:30 P.M. at Andrew Price United Methodist church (2846 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37214) with a memorial service immediately following at 2:30 P.M. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Andrew Price Memorial United Methodist church or a charity of your choice.
