Eva Bright

Eva Marie (Troutman) Bright, 88 years, of Nashville, TN, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022. She was born in Seaman, Ohio, on December 16, 1933. She married Donald Bright on June 28, 1951, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.


Eva was the Administrative Office Manager for Union Carbide in Cincinnati, Ohio for 16 years. She was also an active member of the Russellville Church of Christ. Eva had a passion for square dancing, singing, cooking, fishing and boating, NBA basketball and loved having family picnics at their lake house on Lake Waynoka.
Eva volunteered her time and talents for anything involving her children and grandchildren from organizing fundraisers, sewing costumes, working basketball games and teaching Sunday School.

Eva was preceded in death by Donald Bright, her loving husband of 64 years and her granddaughter, Amanda Marie Dickston. She is survived by daughters Crystal Bright Meyer (Mike), and Penny Bright Cross (Ron), grandchildren Michelle Dickston Berg (Charles Michael), Carolyn Joan Meyer and Charles Alexander Meyer (Ali), great grandchildren Jeffrey Stryker Johnston, Eva Elizabeth Berg and Elias Aleksandr Berg. She is also survived by her sister in law, Evelyn Troutman and many nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by all of the lives she touched.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, at 11am at Covenant Baptist Church in Brentwood, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission.
