Farris Newton

Farris “Candyman” NewtonGoodlettsville, TNAge 80, passed away in his home Saturday, December 10, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Ruby Newton; sister, Barbara Wright; and daughter, Debora Newton.Farris is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara; sons, Terry Newton (Debbie) and Tony Newton (Tammi); daughters, Donna Newton and Ashley Hall (Jesse); Grand-children, Tabitha, Tyler, Kayla, Tanner, Nicholas, TC, Ty, and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Teagan, Jessica, Rachel, Ryan, and Skylar; 4 great, great-grandchildren; sisters, Eloise Griggs and Ann Deavers; brother, Kenneth Newton; and furbabies, Raven and Kit Kat.He worked at the Ford Glass Plant in Nashville, TN. He spent 43 years as a Union worker until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of Metro Baptist Church.The family will hold a Memorial Service at a later date.
