Faye Benson

Faye Benson, age 74 of Nashville, passed away February 20, 2016 in Franklin.A native of Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Roy Gordon Benson, Jr and Mrs. Ruby Dell Benson of Nashville, who survives.Faye was a graduate of Central High School, in Nashville, where she was a star basketball player. Her passion for sports continued through life as she enjoyed playing softball and bowling for many years. She enjoyed travelling and spending time with friends and family.Faye retired from Nortel Corporation and was an entrepreneur. She was the owner of Ms. Shirts in Nashville.
The greatest testament to her life was said by a dear friend, "If you didn't understand kindness, Faye would walk you through it." Her legacy of love for those around her will be cherished for years to come.In addition to her mother, she is survived by her lifelong partner: Nan Woolwine of Nashville; sister: Debby Harding of Nashville; brother: Tim Benson of Franklin; aunt & uncle: Frances and Lester Hayes of Nashville; cousins and several nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Additionally she is survived by her babies: Liz, Taylor and August.In addition to her father, Faye was preceded in death by a sister: Suzanne Williams.Her family will honor and celebrate her life at a later date.
