Frederick “Paul” Holloway, Jr. was born in Dallas, Texas on July 18, 1967. He was the third and the youngest child of Frederick P. Holloway and Betty Jean Melton Holloway. He has three children, Charolette H. Holloway Molina, Leya F, Holloway and Travis “Trey” Holloway and two sisters, Penny A. Holloway Belcher Muecke and Vicki K. Holloway. He tragically passed away on July 19, 2022. He was 55 years old.
Paul went to Fannindel High School in Ladonia, Texas. He was a graduate of the class of 1985 and he attended all 13 years of school (including kindergarten) without missing a day. After high school, he went to truck driving school. He had always wanted to be a truck driver since he was a child. He was always drawing trucks all over his papers and anywhere else. He had several non-truck driving jobs during his life, but not many. Most of his life he was a truck driver. He lived his passion.
He grew up outside of Ladonia in the Bugtussle community. He was a true Bugtussler – he was definitely a good ol’ country boy. As a kid he fished for crawdads in the pond, he swam, played and caught minnows in the North Sulphur River. While in FFA he tried to raise pigs – but they usually ended up as pets that just walked around the yard. It was always an adventure with Paul and he took life with a grain of salt and really didn’t worry about much.
Paul was one of the most gentle souls you would ever meet. We never heard him say an unkind work about anyone. His sense of humor was a gift to all. He laughed at his own silliness – even if nobody else was laughing. His family and friends were everything to him. He was extremely close to his family. He was blessed and we were blessed for having him in our lives.
Paul is survived by his mother, Betty J. Holloway, his three children, Charolette H. Molina, Leya F. Holloway and Trey Holloway, and his sisters Penny A. Belcher and Vicki K. Holloway. He was proceeded in death by his father, Frederick P. Holloway.
