Gary Stanton Hix Sr.

Gary S Hix Sr., 74, of Cadiz, KY passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville surrounded by his loving family.

Gary was born on June 6, 1950, in Kenosha, the son of the late Gerald & Hazel (Coshun) Hix. He graduated from Tremper High School in 1968. Gary married Linda Koretz on April 24, 1971, in Kenosha. He was a machinist at Ladish Tri-Glover until 2001 when he started his home improvement venture. Gary and his wife moved to Cadiz, KY in 2019 where Gary worked at O’Reilly Auto Parts. He enjoyed meeting new people, spending time with his family, fishing, working in the yard, and the beautiful sunsets over Lake Barkley. He was passionate about organ donation, and in his death, he was able to help others through Donate Life.

Gary is succeeded in death by his wife, Linda of Cadiz, KY; his children, Jennifer (Bob) Diel of Racine, WI, Gary Jr. of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Breianna Hix, Gary Hix III, and Lindsey Diel; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Raven, and Lilah. Gary was preceded in death by his sister Roberta Dellisse.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Birchwood Grill in Kenosha, WI, starting at 1:00 pm.
