Gary Monday

Gary Lynn Monday, age 69, of Fairview, went home to be with the Lord on July 3, 2023. A beloved daddy, papa, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend; he lived a good-natured, simple life and brought joy and laughter to all who knew and loved him.

Gary enjoyed bowling and participated in a league for several years. He was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and also enjoyed watching WWE, original Godzilla movies, old reruns of The Rifleman, and The Andy Griffith Show, which he knew by heart. He loved listening to Kenny Rogers and Randy Travis's hymns. His greatest joys were playing with his grandchildren and his dogs.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean Monday; his sister, Cheri Voss; his brother, Terry Monday, and his son Michael Bruce Monday.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Tamatha Hill, her husband Jeff, and grandchildren, Christian, Laura, and Lylah Hill of Fairview; his sister Judy Monday of Lebanon; his aunt, Carolyn Moore of Madison; his niece Michelle Meyer and her Husband Kyle of Smyrna; and his nephews, Michael Voss of Smyrna; Cory Brevik and his wife YiYi of Seattle; Chance Brevik of Lebanon, and Jack Brevik of Lebanon.

A Celebration of Life is being held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 22, at Fairview Community Church 7116 Cumberland Drive Fairview, TN.
