Harold Earl (Butch) Richardson, age 87 of Nashville, departed this life December 3, 2021. Butch was born on January 18, 1934 in Louisville, KY and was raised in East Nashville, graduating East High School in 1952. Butch had an active life that included boat racing, hunting, and playing golf. His excellent golf skills propelled him to the Senior Olympics, where he proudly represented Tennessee.
In his younger days, Butch volunteered as a reserve officer with the Hendersonville Police Department, while pursuing a career with Arrow Reprographic Products in Nashville and served as their Executive Vice President. After retirement, he began working at Two Rivers Golf Course where he made many acquaintances and friends. Butch was a proud father of 3 boys, Ricky, Pete, and Marty who survive him. He was also a grand-father and great grandfather of 24.
He was married to his first love, Emma Jean Spelta for 58 years who preceded him in death in 2011. He is survived by his current wife, Nancy Oertel Richardson, his sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his sister, Patricia Hackney.
Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel at St. Henry's Church, 6401 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN on December 14th, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Butch's memory to your favorite charity.
