Howard Jones Jr.

Howard Jones Jr., also known as Pete, was born June 24th, 1959 in Nashville, TN. He went to East High where he received is education. Howard was a devoted worker for VA Linen Service of Nashville, TN. He gave his life to Christ at an early age. He loved to talk about Jehovah God and wanted to get to know him better.

Howard was a devoted father. He had love for his family, church, and friends. Always one to smile, he enjoyed soul and gospel music and he was a dedicated Titans fan. He took comfort in playing cards, shopping and watching football, but above all, Howard loved spending time with his family.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Sue Jones; siblings, Richard Jones, Regina Jones, and Michael Teasley.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Renee; children, Shalithea McKnight Weaver and Johnathan Matthews; stepchildren, Mary, Tamra Sims, Shanetra McKnight, Kristen Hendrix, and Christopher Hendrix; brother, Christopher Jones (Kayla); nieces, Amber Jones, Kiwanis Jones, Jeresa Jones; nephew, Eric Gooch; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Nashville Funeral and Cremation located at 210 McMillin St., Nashville, TN 37203
