H.S. “Buddy” Anderson, born 9/26/1929, was the owner of Mack’s Country Cooking on the “corner” of Broadway, Division, and 21st Ave. in Nashville where it stood for over 50 years. A native of Nashville, Buddy also lived in Daytona Beach, FL for many years as a young man where he was an agent for Life of Georgia Insurance and where he met his wife; together they had 3 children. Buddy left this world peacefully on Saturday morning, July 15

, 2017. He leaves behind his wife of almost 68 years, Patricia Herrick Anderson; a son Rick W. Anderson and his wife Kathy Demonbreun Anderson; a grandson J. Ryan Anderson; an adopted daughter Janice Rutter, and an adopted grandson Bill Rutter; a daughter Risa Anderson Taylor and her husband Robert Taylor and their children Chris and Christy Taylor and grandchildren Jaxon and Emily Taylor; and a son Ragan Anderson and his partner Alex Willis. Buddy was preceded in death by his brother Jack W. Anderson, his mother Lounette Martin Anderson, and his father Hubert S. Anderson.A gentle and humble man, Buddy will be remembered for his generosity, his kindness and his unfailing laughter.
