Hugh Cross

Hugh Gene Cross, age 66 of Crossville, TN, who was born July 30,1956, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 08, 2023. He is preceded in death by Dorothy and Hugh L. Cross (parents), Ronald Cross (brother).

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Janice Nelson-Cross; his children, Nicholas (Connor) Cross, Amanda (Kenneth) Becker, Step-Son Grant (wife Janet, daughter Phoebe) Nelson; Siblings Charlene (Jamie) Schafer, Robert (Cassie) Cross along with many loving Nephews and Nieces.

He started his career in the Air Force which brought him to Arizona where he started a family. After leaving the service he worked for many years as a quality inspector. Later in life he returned to school and became an LPN.

Hugh enjoyed spending time with family and friends telling tales about family and the crazy things he has done. He had a love of music and taught himself to play guitar. He also enjoyed fixing and tinkering with things whether they needed fixing or not.

He has left this world behind for his next great adventure. His absence will be felt by the many that loved him and he will be remembered fondly.

Funeral services will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
