Hulan Cole

Hulan "Rudy" Cole, 84, of Madison, TN formerly of Greenbrier, TN passed away April 5 th . Hulan was born August 1, 1934 to Everett and Lela (Luton) Cole. He was a 1952 graduate of Greenbrier High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany for 22 months. He worked for the Federal Reserve Bank. Later he joined the Western Electric Company. Upon his retirement he became a driver and tour guide for Gray Line for many years. His vast knowledge and history of the Nashville area, along with his sense of humor, made him an excellent tour guide. He is survived by two sisters, Marjorie Ray and Nancy (Hale) Hooper both of Nashville, TN and a special friend, Shirley Sommer from Metropolis, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Lela Cole; two brothers, Hayden Cole and Wilfred Cole; one sister, Lavern Sutton. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Hulan's name to Hope Unlimited, 305 Lincoln Street, Metropolis, IL 62960. Mr. Cole was cremated and no services will be held per his request. There will private burial at a later date. His classmates, past co-workers and many, many friends will miss him. His memory will live on in our hearts.
