It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janice Place on November 2nd, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on November 27, 1946, in Detroit Michigan, Janice moved with her family back to Livingston at a very young age and grew up in the Nashville TN area. She was a devoted Registered Nurse and a strong and caring advocate for her patients and staff. Janice lived her life with unwavering kindness and compassion, and truly touched the hearts of all who were lucky enough to live within her orbit.
She is now reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband Richard (Bud) Place, her loving son, Jayson Mapes, and her dear parents, Wayne and Bonnie Franklin.
Janice is survived by her children; Anna Pietila (David), Brandon Mapes (Kristin Holloway), and Carrie Mapes (Jeff Feligno), her six grandchildren; Raegan Venables (Nicholas), Frankie Mapes, Tatum Barber (Nathan), Garrett Mapes, Jordan Mapes, and Grey Feligno, her eight great-grandchildren; Jaxson, Peyton, Leander, Elliot, Isla, Daisy, Colt, Nathan, her sister Joyce Neuenschwander, her brother Mike Franklin, her many extended family members who loved her dearly, and her grand-dog Daisy who will dearly miss her generous and loving spirit.
A Memorial Service and celebration of her life will be held at the Delmas Long Community Center, 200 Memorial Dr, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, on January 11th, 2025 at 12:00pm.
