Joanne Beretsky

Joanne Beretsky was granted her angel wings on March 14, 2016. After a 5 year battle with
cancer, her final days were spent peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family and friends,
whom loved her dearly.
Joanne was born on April 26, 1949 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. In 1986, she relocated to North
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and eventually made Murfreesboro, Tennessee, her forever home
in 1994. Her passion for animals brought her to work at Murphy Road Animal Hospital in
Nashville as a receptionist for 20 years.
She devoted her life to Jesus and was active in children's ministry and other events at World
Outreach Church. She also enjoyed traveling with her daughters, spending time with her
grandchildren, loving her pets, gardening, shopping and studying her Bible. She played a great
role in being a spiritual mentor to many. Her journey through this life was a great one, and those
who had the honor to know this sweet woman were certainly privileged.
Joanne is survived by her mother, Irene Schiavo; daughters Lisa(Terry) Somers, Kim(Grant)
Osburn and Michelle(David) Case; brothers Robert(Lori) Gogerty and Joseph Erdody;
grandchildren Avery & Syrus Osburn, Kimber Somers, and Lillie & Lola Case and countless
friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Erdody.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be planned for the near future.
