“Joe F. Gillespie, Sr., a retired farmer and auto worker, died at his home in Joelton, Tennessee, August 30, 2017. He was 80. Survivors include his wife, Eula Hamlin Gillespie; sons, Joe F. Gillespie, Jr. ,and Darrell Lee Gillespie; granddaughter, Alexandria Rae Gillespie. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Binkley Gillespie; parents, Hugh Greer Gillespie, and Ruth Mayberry Gillespie. His ashes will be scattered at his farm in Joelton, Tennessee, as well as his birthplace of Primm Springs, Tennessee.
