Joe Randall Weatherly

On Saturday June 1, 2024, Joe Randall Weatherly (Poppi), loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend  passed away at the age of 89.  

Joe was born on August 1, 1934 to Brown Weatherly and Thelma Weatherly in Union City, TN. Joe graduated High School from Union City High School and joined the Army. He served for four years in the army and during that time in served in the Korean War. Joe married his high school sweetheart during that time, Betty Ann Watkins. They were married for 42 years until her death on December 20, 1997. Joe married his 2nd wife, Mary Katherine Pope in January 2001. They were married until her death on April 22, 2020.  

Joe had a wonderful sense of humor and was great at telling stories. One of his favorite things to do was to go fishing. He worked for Weiser Lock Company for 30 years as a salesman then a district manager. He then worked for Holland Grill Company as a salesman for another 5 years and then retired. 

He is survived by his daughter, Carla Fisher and her husband Frank Fisher, his step-son Mike Pope, his grandchildren Lauren Mendez and her husband Donnie Mendez, Randall Vandervort, Brice Fisher, his great granddaughter DaisyJo Mendez and many other extended family members and friends. 

Joe will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
