Johnny Childress

Johnny Lee Childress, age 65 of White House, TN, passed away on January 7, 2022.

Born to Roy and Marie Childress of Liberty, KY, Johnny entered this life on March 7, 1956 in Danville, IL. He spent 37 wonderful years with his wife, Kim Messick Childress. In his free time, Johnny loved to kick back and watch Nascar or football. He also found joy in fishing, as well as cooking. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Childress and sister, Mary (Dean) Poore.

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Kim Messick Childress of White House, TN; mother, Marie Price Childress of Liberty, KY; two daughters, Leslie (Matthew) Carney of White House, TN and Brandy (Michael Oneal) Childress of Goodlettsville, TN; one sister, Nancy (Ronnie) Elliott of Liberty, KY; five brothers, Jim Childress of Liberty, KY, Charles (Regina) Childress of Liberty, KY, Kevin (Rhonda) Childress of Liberty, KY, Steve (Rosy) Childress of Madison, IN, and Larry (Helen) Childress of Somerset, KY; three grandchildren, Sabrina Carney, Brittany Pendleton, and Erica (Kamarin Hall) Pendleton of Baytown, TX; and two great-grandchildren, Kendyll Williams and Maxton Pendleton.
