Johnny Donnell

Johnny C Donnell, age 55 of Nashville, passed away suddenly December 17, 2015 at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville.He was the son of W D Donnell Sr and the late Irma Jean Jackson Donnell. He deeply and proudly loved and respected his parents for their guidance and support in his life. He was always proud of his Cherokee heritage as well.A 1978 graduate of Hume Fogg in Nashville, Johnny went on to study commercial arts. His artistic and creative spirit was developed early in life as his mother taught him such talents as knitting, crocheting, sewing, macrame and origami. He continued to develop his skills in clothing design and gardening, helping to create his beautiful perennial garden with his partner, Leslie. He excelled as a cook and loved any opportunity to travel. Johnny has resided in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Chicago, IL before returning home to Nashville.He will be remembered as a loyal and honest friend. He was honest and caring, and never forgot a birthday! He loved all animals and adored his cherished “Bo.”Johnny supported the efforts of Nashville Cares, and always had the highest sense of duty to others. He believed in doing the right things and always spoke his mind.He is survived by his partner: Keith Leslie Brown; father: W. D. Donnell Sr; brother: W. D.
