Joyce Gerber

October 9, 1931 — May 7, 2021

Joyce Jasner Gerber of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of Matthew and Mae Jasner, passed away on May 7 at the age of 89. She is survived by her sons Richard, Andrew (Christina), Bill (Jessica) and daughter Mimi (Tom) and her five grandchildren- Daniel, Linley, John, Hannah, and Gillian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, and grandson, Teddy. Joyce received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in early childhood education at the University of Pennsylvania and worked as a teacher for over 25 years. She loved classical music and, in retirement, created a program for preschoolers that involved movement to classical music for which she became known as "Miss Joyce The Good Music Lady". Joyce and her husband Lewis moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2010.
