Joyce Mcgrath

Mary Joyce McGrath, 86 of Lebanon, TN passed away on May 17, 2022.

Joyce was born on July 24, 1935 to Paul and Ollie Pugh in Goodlettsville, TN.  She graduated from Goodlettsville High School in 1954.  After graduating high school, she had a career with First American Bank, Bell South and eventually started working in the offices of several dealerships and body shops in Nashville.  At the age of 84 she retired from Service King in Nashville, TN.

Joyce loved spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed bowling, relaxing outside, going to the ocean and seeing her friends at the Country Cafe.  She was an avid football fan and her favorite team was the Green Bay Packers.

Proceeded in death by her parents, Paul and Ollie Pugh, niece Dianne McNamee and brother-in-law Jerry McGrath.

Survived by her five children, Nina (David) Doscher, Patti McGrath Grimm, Pam (Lester) Steeley, Paula (Doug) Friedman, and John (Jennifer) McGrath III.  Her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jason) Lyon, Christopher Steeley, Jackson Steeley, Riley McGrath, John McGrath IV, Jacob Friedman, Alan (Ashley) Doscher, and Ashley (Brandon) Rorer.  Great grandchildren Nathan Lyon, Ella Lyon, Oliva Steeley, Luke Doscher, Arora Doscher, Josephine Doscher and Silas Rorer.  Joyce was also survived by her twin sister Jean (Robert) Bailey, her nieces Donna (Lee) Williams, Sarah (Mickey) Ford, Bridgette McGrath, nephews Bobby (Michelle) Bailey, Parrish (Kelli) McGrath, Michael McGrath, Patrick McGrath, brother-in-law Butch (Linda) McGrath, and sister-in-law Judy McGrath.

The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to The Pavilion in Lebanon, TN and to Alive Hospice for taking care of Mom.
