It is with a heavy heart we inform you all that Julia Hillier, 70, of Greenbrier, Tennessee, passed away on December 30th, 2024. Julia was born March 16th, 1954 in Warren, Pennsylvania, and spent her childhood moving around with her mother Betty Sue Lyle. Eventually, they settled in Clarksville, Tennessee with her adopted father Clyde Henderson. Julia graduated from Clarksville High School in 1971 and went on to Austin Peay State University to begin her journey as an educator, eventually earning a Master’s in Special Education. She lived in Greenbrier, Tennessee, and retired from the Robertson County School system after years of service at Greenbrier Middle School and teaching the RISE Program for the Elementary Schools in the county. After retirement, she went on to H&R Block to do seasonal tax services in Springfield, Tennessee. More than anything, Julia loved her family. She shared her love for travel and creative arts with them any chance she could, leaving them with memories and skills they will cherish forever. Julia could create anything, from beautiful works of stained glass to crocheting blankets for the holidays. She also loved reading and would read aloud to any of the kids who would sit long enough to listen. Julia is preceded in death by her mother and father, Betty Sue and Clyde Henderson, her brother Mike Riggins, all from Clarksville, Tennessee, and Bob Hillier from Garden City, Michigan. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Phil Fradiska from Cumberland, Maryland; Her daughters Andrea Hillier-Stevenson, and Allison Anderson from Greenbrier, Tennessee and her sons Eric and Vincent Hillier from Evansville, Indiana; Her four grandchildren; Devin, Drew, Coby, and Abel Stevenson, her great-grandchild, Tate Stevenson from Greenbrier, Tennessee; With multiple nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and finally, her platonic life partner/best friend, Darrell Anderson.
