KEITH RICHARD SALEY Keith Richard Saley, age 56, of Nashville, Tennessee died September 25, 2017. Keith was born in Dearborn, Michigan and moved to Nashville, TN to be closer to his mother, sister, and brother in law in 2002.Keith is survived by his Father, Charles Saley, of Canton, Michigan, Charles ' wife, Patricia Saley, his sister, Lynnemarie Dunn of Crestview, Fl, and Lynnemarie's husband Russell Dunn. He is preceded in death by his mother, Myra Wik Saley, his maternal grandparents Frederick and Jean Wik, and his paternal grandparents Tony and Mary Saley.Keith was a graduate of Plymouth Salem HS where he was a track and field athlete. He attended Ferris State University for Engineering but found his love of the restaurant industry and that’s where he stayed working as a manager in many high profile locations in Nashville.Keith was all about his family. He cared for his mother during her cancer treatment and felt a lonely void when she left this world. He was fiercely protective of his little sister, even when she was bugging him entirely too much. She always wanted to be just like her big brother, but the 7 year age difference had them as opposing points in their lives. Thank goodness they were able to develop an amazing friendship later in life and they enjoyed spending days together at Disney, hanging out in Destin, Fl. He tried to teach her to play golf, but instead taught her husband and they had a blast playing poorly. He was so proud of his sister and would brag on her to anyone who would listen. He was very proud of the man she married as well, and was honored to not only call him brother, but a friend.Keith was a very active volunteer with muscular dystrophy association and served as camp attendant and telethon worker for many years.Keith was a great photographer and was offered many lucrative contracts, but choose to stay in Detroit with family. He was an amazing wedding photographer and passed all his skills to his sister who tried to carry on his art. He was an artist who loved working in acrylics. He was talented at carpentry and would fix up homes for the family for fun and to improve his skills. He was a huge sci-fi fan and loved talking about Star Wars, Star Trek, Stanley Kubrick and just about any other film someone would share with him. He never met a stranger, and if you shared his love of science, astronomy, and a good dirty joke, you were destined to be life long buddies.Keith had a love of travel and was able to see many places in the US as well as Italy, Germany, and France. He held tight to his closest friends from high school, especially Gary Newberg with whom he traveled through Europe. There will be a funeral Mass performed by Fr.
