Laura Harrison

June 15, 1962 — April 30, 2016

Laura Louise Harrison (Robinson), 55, of Franklin, TN passed peacefully from Glory to Glory into the loving open arms of Jesus Christ, April 30, 2018, after an extended illness. Born in Clearwater, FL, Laura spent her childhood in Huntsville, AL where she graduated from Grissom High School in 1980. She attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN and graduated with degrees in both English and Animal Sciences. From an early age, Laura had a passion for horses and was a member of MTSU's equestrian team where she enjoyed much success. She was also a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and exhibited Quarter horses, her hard work and dedication culminating in 2013 when was named the Select Amateur World Champion, a feat saved for only the best. She also achieved high point Champion honors for the state of Tennessee. Laura's love of beauty extended into her work as a real estate developer and a home designer but her greatest joy in life was found in being a loving wife, a devoted Mother to her children and a wonderful grandmother as well as a true friend to all she met along the way. We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give and Laura gave to all as she served the Lord with all her heart and soul, relying on her rock solid Faith to sustain her thru out the journey. Laura was a true Believer and lived her life accordingly.She is preceded in death by her father John Allen Robinson and her niece Lauren Elizabeth Kirkley. She is survived by her husband Bart Harrison of Franklin, her son Barton Reed Harrison (Logan) of Memphis, TN, her daughter Katherine Isabella Ciangi, of Nashville, TN, grandchildren Madelyn Zuzu and Henry Charles Harrison, Mother Louise Parker Robinson, of Huntsville, AL, sister Susan Robinson Konstant (George) of Auburn, AL and Ann Robinson Laue (Bryan) of Huntsville, AL. She also leaves behind many precious nieces and nephews.Visitation will be Saturday, May 5 th , at 2 pm at Grace Chapel, 3279 Southall Road, Franklin, TN with the service at 4pm and a reception to follow.The family deeply appreciates the wonderful and compassionate care received from Dr. Julie Means, TN Oncology, and the nurses and staff at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin and Alive Hospice in NashvilleIn lieu of flowers, please consider making blood donations to the American Red Cross.
