Lawrence Benjamin (Larry) Mulloy, 86 years old, of Nashville died October 2, 2020, in Clarksville, TN. He was born April 13, 1934, in Shreveport, LA to Ollie and Loretta Mulloy. He had two brothers, Ollie Mulloy and James Mulloy, who preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Carol; sons, David Mulloy, Tuscaloosa, AL, Dennis Mulloy and wife, Teri, Clarksvillle and Michael and wife, Dawn, Ashland City, TN, grandchildren, Kevin Mullloy and Katie Mulloy, Great-grandson, Atticus Mulloy, several nieces and a nephew. Larry earned a BSME in Aeronautical Engineering at Louisiana State University, a MS in Public Administration at the University of Oklahoma and a MS in Administration at the University of California. He was commissioned from Artillery OCS, Ft Sill, OK, as a Honor Graduate and was in the 11 th Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell, KY. He was a Honor Graduate from the Army Aviation School, Ft. Rucker, AL and was in the U. S. Army reserve. He spent his career at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL until he retired as Project Manager for the Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster. Then he went to work for John M. Cockerham and Associates, as vice president for NASA programs based in Washington, D.C. and Project Manager for consulting contracts with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Air Force Systems Command, Air Force Electronic Systems Center, Lockheed and IBM. He retired and we moved to Tampa, FL, for three years, then moved to Nashville, TN. He loved traveling, especially overseas and flying small airplanes. A lot of his time was spent enjoying being with his family and friends. He liked building houses and moving and staying busy. No services are scheduled. He will be cremated as he wished.
