Loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother in law, sister and aunt.Lillian (Galasso) Armour, 86, passed away on March 5, 2015 in Nashville TN. She was the beloved wife of George Armour for almost 64 years.She was born on September 10, 1928 in Waterbury, CT, a daughter of the late Rocco and Carmela (Adamo) Galasso. She lived in Waterbury until recently months.Lillian was a graduate from Leavenworth High School, Class of 1946. She was a gifted seamstress, working at various companies in Waterbury throughout her career. In 1975, she appeared as the original spokeswoman in the “Look for the Union Label” nationally televised commercials and newspaper advertisements that were published throughout the country, representing the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She also served as Assistant Leader of the Girl Scouts of America, PTA Room Mother at Chase School and performed across the country with the Sweet Adeline’s.In addition to her husband, Lillian is survived by her daughter, Nancy Armour Barker and her husband Michael, grandson John Armour Barker, step-granddaughter Amanda (Barker) Levie and her husband Nathaniel, step-great-granddaughter Lily Olivia Levie, sister Anna Marie (Galasso) Cipriano, sisters in law Elvira (Marano) Armour and Ellen (Fillipelli) Galasso, and many dear nieces and nephews.Lillian was also predeceased by her brother Anthony Galasso.Memorial contributions in Lillian’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.NASHVILLE FUNERAL AND CREMATION 615-256-1605
