Linda Brown

Linda Pearl Brown born 1948 in Nashville, TN. She is survived by five children, Lonnie Childress, Pam Stump, Randall Childress, Tina Morris, and Daniel Childress; She was married to Marty Brown since 1988. They met in 1986, when Marty was a singer, and guitarist and Linda’s career mainly as a nurses aide in Nashville. Linda liked to watch football, and loved animals especially cats, and dogs. Linda is survived by her cat, “Princess” who lives with Marty. Linda collected movies about cheetahs, lions, tigers, and leopards. She watched Western movies, National Geographic Wild, and Animal Planet. She liked horror movies and comedy.
Her music included 50’s , 60’s, 70’s, oldies, top 40, disco, funk, some rock, and jazz. She collected CD’s to hear in the car. Linda was Irish and one quarter Cherokee. She liked Indian memorabilia.
Linda was a believer in God. She signed a living will (Advanced Care Plan) turning down any life support. She was a five year cancer survivor from 2010-2015. She passed away May 1, 2015 at 8:20pm from Adenocarcinoma. Lung Cancer which quickly spread through her entire body.
She had lots of friends at Riverwood Apartments, Madison Tennessee who signed her cards after her death.
Linda was not lazy and raised five children by herself. We will all miss her dearly.
