Mary Elizabeth Braithwaite, 85 of Smyrna, TN. passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015. Mary (Betty) was born in Smackover, Arkansas on August 31, 1930 to Miron Job Ballard and Mary E. (Pearson) Ballard. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jay N. Braithwaite; parents; brother, Ralph Ballard; sister, Melba Lou Grayson; and grandson Derek Jayton Braithwaite. She is survived by son Michael Jay Braithwaite and his wife, Isabel; daughter Elizabeth L. (Braithwaite) Caldwell and her husband, Kyle; four grandchildren, Michael Braithwaite, Adric Braithwaite, Andrea(Caldwell) Firmin and her husband Jeff; Stefanie (Caldwell) Mefford and her husband Johnny; three great-grandchildren, Skyler, Kristin, and Conner Firmin.
